Hey thanks a lot for the new hi-res version. The extra clarity makes a world of difference to the impact, and Allison's looking more gorgeous than ever. I've faved the picture now. Maybe a few people will notice it in my folder and drift her way.
Wow, what an outfit. Very sexy but with elegance too. And she's so gorgeous, especially the hair. I'd love a larger version of this, and I wish you had more shots on show. How come you only used four, when the outfit and model are both so spectacular? The glowy background is nice by the way.
Tim (the photographer) and I do a lot of shoots together and we both believe that less is more - although we may take over a thousand photos for one shoot, only a handful are selected! This allows our work to entice rather than flood the viewer.
Well, I know the value of picking just the best shots rather than letting things be diluted with a lot of weak or similar ones, but when you reduce an entire photoshoot to only three shots, that seems like taking the 'less is more' principal way too far. Instead of feeling enticed, I feel frustrated to think of all the other fine shots you surely took (with different angles and poses etc.), which the world may never have the good fortune to see. I'm grateful for this one lovely picture at least - your Allison is quite a vision - but I do think such a spectacular model and outfit (this elegant short train version - the best by far) deserved much more than just one picture, and it would've greatly strengthened your showing rather than weakened it. I hope you won't mind me giving that view but I offer it as honest audience feedback, just in case it might give you pause to consider. Because I'd really really love to see more of your graceful lady in black.
Thank you for your thoughts~ I have one other beautiful photo. Unfortunately, it doesn't display the dress well, which is why I chose not to showcase it. Since you made such an earnest argument, I've uploaded it to dA: [link]
Well I appreciate the gesture, thanks, even if the dress isn't much on show there as you say. I notice that the new pic is actually in hi-res and so is the trainless one. I don't suppose you could likewise give us a hi-res version of The Short Train? Maybe you had some reason for keeping it relatively lo-res, I don't know, but it was the best pic by far.
